Considering Smashwords.

Yep, I am considering leaving KDP select (not Kindle altogether) and expanding to other platforms. After looking into it, it seems to me that Smashwords has all the bases covered. It gives you a door into many different distribution channels. Seeing as Amazon sales have been next to nothing it seems that I would not lose out by giving up the exclusivity and expanding to Smashwords. It will be time and effort but what isn’t?

Has anyone else gor any experiences with Smashwords or know of any better alternatives? Would be good to get some thoughts from some other Indie Authors out there.

  1. I used to like Smashwords until they entered into an agreement with Scribd and it was opt-out (not opt-in) and I found my work on a paid membership site with no promise of any revenues for me. Not cool in my opinion.
