LowGo shah

Hic ar tee, sec ar tee, el ar tee, ho
Billowing, willowing echoing deep
Dark shadows from afar

Mystic

By Scott Bailey © 2016

The mystical chord is missing
Congregation of the hearts
Cohesion of resistance
The friction that throws up sparks

Dragons stir on dripping hoards
Squeeze the bloody stones
Build their beds on broken bones
Their hunger ever fed

Lore is twisted into chains
Choking all who dream
Mystic songs have drained away
Silence reigns

Marathon

By Scott Bailey 2017

Life is a marathon
They say
I disagree
A marathon is a race
Has a goal
They whip us with that line
Life is a marathon

Life is a song
Every
Note
To be
Savoured
Listen
Or sing
Or play
For
Life is a song

The Birds that Catch My Eye

By Scott Bailey © 2017

A rustle of brown
A song trilling in the trees
A fine spread of delicate feathers
High, in a clear blue sky, a buzzard soars
Mobbed and harried by dark ravens
The red and gold darting finch
The woodpecker drill
The hooting owl

These are the birds
Catching my eye
These days

A Dangerous Rebellion

Four people, four rebels. Rejecting society or rejected by it – either way, they have had enough. They have decided to fight – and they have taken on the government on its most dangerous and brutal front.

Will they survive?

And have they thought about what comes next?

Or why they are fighting?

Will their convictions be a match for the crimes they will have to commit and the guilt that comes with them?

Intolerance

By Scott Bailey © 2013

I am a tolerant man no more

Intolerant of inequality
And all who promote it
Intolerant of injustice
And all those who peddle it
Time to make the world
The way it should be
